EQUATE

Equate

Definition Of Equate

Equate is to make two things equal or the values that are equal.

Example of Equate

A ring weighing 19 gm is placed on one pan of the common balance and another ring weighing 12 gm is placed on the other pan.
To equate the weights on the common balance, we have to add 7 gm to the pan containing the ring of 12 gm as 19 gm = 12 gm + 7 gm.
