Definition Of Digit

A digit is a symbol used to write the numbers.

Symbols 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 are used to write numbers and are called digits.

More About Digit

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 are called single digit numbers.
10, 11, 12, 13 . . . 99 are called 2-digit numbers.
101, 102 . . . 999 are called 3-digit numbers and so on.

Among 325, 68, 7456, and 124, 7456 is the 4-digit number.
The largest 4-digit number is 9999.
The largest 5-digit number is 99,999.
