Definition Of Raise

When one number is raised over another number, we mean that the number is multiplied by itself those many number of times.

Examples of Raise

To raise 5 to the power of 4 means 54 and is equivalent to 5⁴ = 5 × 5 × 5 × 5 = 625. 
To raise m to the power of 3 means m³ and is equivalent to m³ = m × m × m.
