Position

  • Position is the space occupied by an object with respect to another object.

More about Position

  • The Position of an object with respect to another is given by using the terms “in front”, “behind”, “left”, “right”, “above”, “below”, “top”, “bottom”, etc.

Example of Position

  • In the above figure, the letter R is on the top.
    We can also say that the letter R is above the letters O and G.
    Letter B is below the letters O and G.
    Letter P is present to the right of the letter B.
    Like this, we can explain the Position of the letters placed in the figure.

Which shape is below the triangle?

Choices:
A. rectangle
B. circle
C. triangle
D. square
Correct Answer: A
Solution:
Step 1: ‘Below’ is the Position occupied by one object beneath another object.
Step 2: So, the figure that is placed below the Triangle is ‘rectangle’.
