A basket contains 95 apples. The apples are to be shared equally among 5 classes. Which operation helps you find the number of apples each class gets?

A. division
B. multiplication

D. subtraction
Correct Answer: A
Solution:
Step 1: Number of apples each class gets = Number of apples in the basket ÷ Number of classes.
Step 2: Number of apples each class gets = 95 ÷ 5.
Step 3: So, 'division' is the appropriate operation that is used to find the number of apples each class gets.
